As much as we love having 100+ kids here on our church campus, current health and safety concerns will not allow us to do so this year. Our VBS Team made this decision with prayer, discernment and love for all of God’s children, young and old alike. It was a hard decision, but one we felt was necessary based on local, state and national guidelines. We are not canceling; we are improvising. We are grieving but not giving in.

Our VBS Team is transforming this year's VBS – “Knights of North Castle” – into a safe and fun at-home experience. Each morning during VBS week, at 10:00 AM, we will “go live,” introducing the day’s theme, sharing the day’s Bible story and hearing the day’s song and other music. This should last about a half hour. There will also be daily activity options for your family to choose from to help reinforce the stories where the children will learn of God’s love made perfect in Christ.

We will be using the video conference platform, Zoom, and a private Facebook group or YouTube channel to share our program. While there is no registration fee for participants this year, we do need for each child to be registered by June 7th to gain access to the program.

While this is not the summer any of us had planned, we celebrate in the knowledge that we can, “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power” (Ephesians 6:10), which is the theme verse for our “Knights of North Castle” VBS program.

We pray that each of you will know and experience God’s love, grace, and nearness as we walk through this together.
